Alpine CC Board Minutes

1. Discuss & approve minutes of the previous meeting (Aug) (5 min)

4. Preschool Updates (10 min)

Report (Jasmine)

First week success! Jasmine reports things are going well. 5 students are enrolled.

She is looking into joining “Preschool Promise”, a program that helps with tuition assistance.

She will look into applying to be part of the program that accepts students with assistance, in the 2026-27 school year. https://www.oregon.gov/delc/programs/pages/preschool-promise.aspx

Two students’ families have applied for tuition assistance. The board will review the applications and see how much we have in the budget for assistance. Jasmine has told the parents that, if approved, assistance can underwrite 10-50% of their tuition.

Special visit by Ethan the bee guy to show off his tractor to the kids!

5. Review and Accept Financial Reports for Aug (10 min)

Roger reported that the 990N has been filed with the IRS and the CT-12 form has been filed with the State.

6. Building (20 min)

Furnace & HVAC Project-Tabled

Back Siding Project-Tabled

Storage Shed- Insulation has been installed. There are 3 shelving units to be arranged for storage.

Recycling Bin- Recycling bin was not able to be put back in its correct position. Mr. Chad Gordon called Jeanne to explain the gravel has been building up causing a lump and needs to be graded. Thank you to a community member for coming out and grading but we need to add more gravel, half load should be enough. Jeanna will call and see what our options are.

7. Alpine Photo Project (10 min)

8. Alpine Junction Sign (5 min)

The sign is at the Monroe Library estimated size 7ftx18in. Roger will bring it to the community

center before the next meeting so we can decide where to hang it.

9. Banner (5 min)

Jeanne proposed that we add a banner above or below the reader-board sign that will show our web site address. Jeanne will measure how big, should be printed on both sides.

10. Holiday Festival-

Melissa, Dorothy, Jasmine

The first meeting was held last weekend. We would like to buy new signs like the Blackberry

festival for the main road in Monroe to be hung the month before.

Motion was made and approved to spend up to $1600 on flags.

11. New Business (5 min)

Jasmine and Jeanne will look into grants for various projects.

• Back Siding
• Community Recycling

Jeanne found keys and is trying to find out where they go.

12. Proposed agenda for October (1 min)

Yard work- Should someone be hired for regular yard maintence? Have we clarified what needs to be done?
