Alpine CC Board Minutes

1. Discuss & approve minutes of the previous meeting (Feb)

4. Review and Accept Financial Reports for Feb

No February financial rpts yet. Dorothy has been at odds with QuickBooks’ AI.

Dorothy moved we take Dena Elliot off the Umpqua bank accounts, and put Roger Irvin on. Jasmine seconded. Approved.

5. Preschool Updates

This has been art week; Anna showed Matisse-style paper cutouts some of the students made.  Also recently: they planted seeds in the garden beds.

Printing— the printer seems to go through consumables faster than Anna expected. Dorothy admits to printing things for ACC and SBCE. Dorothy will order cartridges.

Debit card—Anna needs to go in to bank with one of the other signers. She will coordinate with Roger (Dorothy going out of town for a short while.)

Anna discussed challenges with a parent volunteer. Dorothy is willing to intervene. Board brainstormed ways to address. We discussed adding a section to the parent handbook about expectations for parent volunteers. Jasmine will look for online resources.

Next parents’ mtg is April 7th. John to attend to represent the board.

7. Building Maintenance

Malia reported ants in several areas of the building. Dorothy and Jeanne put out traps.

8. Recap Support Raising Event 2/22/25 Chili Dinner

All agreed that it was a great event. This seemed like a good time of year. Jeanne was grateful for cleanup volunteers. Melissa’s talk was great. We got a new resale shop volunteer from among the attendants.

9. Storage Shed Project

Board agreed to move forward toward purchase. Jeanne will ask shed person to come confirm site prep needs.

10. Back Siding Project

We discussed the south wall of kitchen, and the need to replace the siding, then paint. 

11. Alpine Photo Project

Jeanne has found some historic photos of Alpine.  She would like to enlarge, print, frame, and hang them.  Jeanne and Dorothy will move forward.
