The preschool program is for children 3-5 years old taught in small class sizes. Art, science, nature, music. Serving rural Monroe since 2003. Classes are M-W-F from 8:30 am-12:00 pm. [email protected]

Our preschool operates under the direction of a teacher, supported by the Board of Directors, while parents assist with classroom duties. Families are vital contributors in our cooperative preschool.

The teacher, who is hired by the Board of Directors, develops the curriculum and maintains standard procedures for the school program. By providing a safe, playful learning environment, we give children the opportunity to develop intellectual, social, and motor skills that prepare them for kindergarten and a lifetime of learning.

Our school is held in the Alpine Community Center. The building is large and clean with two separate classrooms, a playroom, a full kitchen, an outdoor playground, and a large meeting space for plenty of running and playing.

Things that make our school unique: outdoor time everyday rain or shine, cooking classes, outdoor gardening, and special educational visitors such as the local librarian for Storytime. We have Chapel park 2 blocks away and walk to the park as well as have some outdoor classes. We have fun field trips every month. 

Our program is for children 3-5 years old. We have small class sizes. Classes are held 3 day per week from 8:30 am-12:00 pm. We offer a fun curriculum with lots of science and art. Tuition assistance is available for those that qualify.

Alpine Cooperative Preschool is a member of the Parent Child Preschools Organization.
