Reduce Reuse Recycle Contest Details
Three Contest Categories
Reduce Reuse Recycle:
in original art or craft,
in an outdoor/yard/farm project,
or in an indoor technology/household project.
You can submit as many entries as you want as long as they each meet the criteria! This is just for fun, so share your reduce reuse recycle ideas! Show us your creativity! Teach us how!
Criteria for judging:
Homemade/handmade
Originality/Creativity
Demonstrate measurable resource conservation
Our panel of Celebrity Judges will go to work at 11:00 and name the winners at noon.
Prizes will be awarded in each category for three age groups:
kids up through 5th grade
6th grade t 12th grade
Adults
How to enter:
On Saturday, March 21 at 10:00am, bring your entry to ACC (be sure to label it as described below).
If your project cannot be moved to the community center, bring a photo with an explanation.
Your entries will remain on display at ACC all day. With your permission, we may post them on the ACC website or Facebook page!
You can pick up your entry at 4:00 that day or make other arrangements.
Each entry must include:
Name, Address, Phone Number
Age group (Up to 5th grade, 6th to 12th grade, adult)
Project Category (original art or craft, outdoor/yard/farm project, or indoor technology/household project)
Something for Everyone on March 21
Free refreshments; Grocery totes for the first 50 visitors; Habitat for Humanity; Questions and Answers with the Master Recycler from Republic Services available all day; Free dumping (first come, first served until the 30 yard dumpster is full!); Demonstrations (How to ReUse Yarn from a Thrift Store Sweater! Water Conservation Tips and Tools) ; Displays; Additional recycling bins for this event only!
